Gordon is a man on a mission: To play country music on the Pedal Steel! Ron Crites, renowned country music singer / guitarist / entertainer has asked Gordon to add his Pedal Steel sounds to his new George Jones tribute show. Touching on the high points of his music, the show gets to the heart of what makes George Jones a living legend. Ron sings George like Gordon likes to play it – straight from the heart !
Gordon brings over 35 years playing experience on the pedal steel to the show. He has made music with some of the finest musicians around, at some of the best venues. Bally’s Wild West Casino in Atlantic City, the State Theater in New Brunswick, dance clubs, recording sessions, county fairs and summer concerts across the state are a few examples. Most recently, he’s had the pleasure of making music with the Beth Anne Clayton Band, a fixture on the Jersey shore music scene. Going back a few years, he was an original member of the Molasses Hill Band, which later became Eagle Creek. This group of ace musicians rode the Urban Cowboy / western line dancing craze until disbanding in the late 90’s. He’s been free-lancing since then, playing a bit less, but enjoying it more.
